I live and work in Nantperis in a house built by a quarry worker family. I’m interested in the ‘flow’ of things - of ideas, materials, time, language and culture - and how this links to a sense of place and belonging. My work is almost always collaborative, and I like to create experiences that engage people in non-art gallery spaces.
I work with slate in almost all my projects, including “Digging Down”, a 3-day pop-up supper in a barn in Nantperis for National Theatre Wales, combining archaeological dig, food, performance and debate in a women-led Caban-style event bringing to life the lives of the forgotten women who had previously lived here.
